New paper in PNAS out led by René Clark from the PIRE/Albatross Re-Collection Project showing a substantial loss of genetic diversity in tropical marine fishes. This is particularly surprising because marine fish elsewhere in the world do not have much evidence for loss of genetic diversity. Lots more research on this topic in the pipeline.
