Brendan attended the International Congress of Conservation Biology (ICCB) in Brisbane, Australia at the end of his term as chair of the Equity, Inclusion, and Diversity committee for the Society for Conservation Biology North America (SCBNA). Along with panelists from the US, Oceania, and Africa, Brendan led a successful symposium covering global perspectives on safe, equitable, and inclusive field work. As a representative of SCBNA, Brendan also engaged in meetings with policy specialists from other regions and in a meeting of SCBNA’s Conservation Genetics Working Group. Looking forward to ICCB 2027 in Mexico!
