Malin was at U. British Columbia this week to receive the Peter A. Larkin Award in Fisheries Science and to give the Larkin Lecture, “Marine fish on the move: challenges and prospects for fisheries adaptation” on October 3, 2024. A video of the event is available here. This award, which honors the memory of Dr. Peter Larkin, an eminent fisheries biologist and emeritus professor at UBC, recognizes a leading fisheries scientist who is committed to research excellence, inspiring education, and innovative societal engagement. It was quite an event, and Andrew Trites, Pamela Rosenbaum, and the students of the Inst. for the Oceans and Fisheries were wonderful hosts!
