Jaelyn has returned to the US from three months in northern Mozambique, where she studies genetic variation in corals in collaboration with Lurio University! She and her dive partner, Antumane Árabe, collected more than two hundred samples of Acropora divaricata for genetic analysis. Jaelyn also participated in other projects at Lurio University, including an ongoing coral restoration initiative. Special thanks to Lurio University faculty Isabel Silva and Sidonio Machaieie for all of their support.
